Movies are all about the big picture. They’re also all about the little details. Here are a few movies you may have been focusing on the big picture and forgot to notice they got some of the minor details just a little bit wrong. A movie may film in short bursts, leading to the possibility of minor errors in the set when the movie resumes filming. While an art director is often charged with making sure such details stay in place even when the scene resumes from shooting six weeks before , sometimes even they make minor mistakes. Here are a few you may have missed while watching your favorite films.
In this famous animated film, the material used in the hero’s trousers instead becomes the material from his boxers. The mix up between the two fabrics is clearly visible after a lion rips off the star’s back trousers.
A large yellow car is part of the film’s great main storyline and visible during parts of the movie. However, viewers can clearly see the Porshe is obviously damaged and needs repair after a series of action shots. In the next, it is no longer damaged, leading viewers to wonder if it is a self healing car.
This classic film is much beloved and earned many kudos including several Academy Awards. During one the scenes as an important character is talking, the iron in the background is upright against the blue background. As the character talks, the iron somehow falls down even though she hasn’t touched it.
The movie is about chariot races. Chariots were pulled by horses. Despite being set over two thousand years, way before the invention of modern technology, a gas canister can be seen at the back one of the chariots.
The movie centers on the experience of a single family confronting dinosaurs that have come to unexpected life. A clearly visible giant goat’s leg falls on top of the car in one scene. By the next, it’s completely gone without any visible signs of it ever having been there in the first place.
This mind bending movie is designed to take the viewer on a journey across time and space. The illusion is partially shattered however, when the alert viewer can spot a movie camera in the background of a glass object visible in certain scenes.
This famous trilogy set records for box office success. However, when being carried away by the story, certain specific details come to light and intrude on the story. Even storm troupers get hurt as one actor in the white costume bangs his head against a door in the set.
This story of the sinking of one the largest ships ever built is an enchanting that won many awards. Yet for all the technology shown, Rose, the valiant heroine, can’t seem to decide where to place her beauty mark. It moves to different sides of her head during the course of filming.

In one scene, Dorothy’s hair is slightly below her shoulders. A few seconds later, her hair has apparently magically grown several inches in less than a minute.

The good doctor of the trilogy has a famous tool belt. In one scene, he has a hair dryer on it. In the next, it is gone.

This thriller got just a few details incorrect. Perhaps most notably, in one scene the plane has four engines while in the next scene, it only has two.

The action never stops in this movie as the hero is chased from place to place. In one of the movie’s most iconic scenes, the action takes place with a small plane. Viewers, however, are left wondering just how many planes are involved. The number of the plane changes from one scene to the next.

The illusion of being back on a ship a few hundred years ago is broken for viewers who notice a cast member sitting on the ship dressed in contemporary garb.
Even animators can make mistakes from scene to scene. Careful viewers watch as the main character’s braids appear to move through her entire body somehow, defying the laws of biology and physics.
This horror film is all about scaring viewers. Viewers, however, may have been slightly less scared when realizing that the main character is apparently getting skin burns everywhere yet somehow his pants aren’t getting scorched at all.
